미완성은 때로 완결물 이상의 여지를 만들어줍니다. 모든 것이 다 채워진 상태보다, 조금 비어 있거나 끝까지 도달하지 못한 상태가 더 큰 가능성을 열어두기도 하죠. 이 작업은 전체 페이지를 채우지 못하고 사방의 여백을 남기는 가정용 프린터의 출력 조건, 즉 미완성된 페이지의 상태를 활용합니다. 프린터가 남기는 여백을 작업의 조건으로 삼는 것이지요. 그 공간은 1cm 남짓의 작은 영역이지만, 저는 이곳을 모종의 신비한 공간으로 바라봅니다. 책의 외부, 페이지의 바깥은 어떤 가능성의 공간일까요? On the Unresolved Page는 이 작은 여백을 통해, 보이지 않는 부분을 읽고 상상하는 문제들을 만듭니다.

Incompleteness can sometimes open up more possibilities than a finished work. A page that remains slightly empty, or never quite reaches completion, can leave greater room for imagination. This work takes as its condition a limitation of the home printer: its inability to print to the very edges of the page, leaving narrow margins on all four sides. These margins become part of the work itself. Although they measure only about one centimeter, I see them as a kind of mysterious space. What kinds of possibilities might exist outside the book, beyond the page? On the Unresolved Page uses these small margins to raise questions about how we read and imagine what cannot be seen.
