《재조합하기》는 수집과 분류, 해체를 거쳐 남은 시각 요소들을 다시 엮는 설치 작업이다. 서로 다른 출처에서 가져온 이미지와 그래픽을 반복하고 겹치며 새로운 배열을 만들고, 하나의 원본을 추적하기 어려운 상태로 이어 붙인다. 작업에는 도트매트릭스 프린터와 연속 용지가 사용된다. 낮은 해상도의 점으로 이미지를 출력하는 과정에서 농도의 차이와 번짐, 어긋남, 패턴의 붕괴가 발생하고, 원래의 그래픽은 기계가 만들어내는 오류와 편차를 거치며 다른 형태로 바뀐다. 끊임없이 이어지는 연속 용지 위에서는 이미지의 앞뒤와 경계 역시 느슨해지며, 서로 다른 파편들이 옆으로 새거나 겹치면서 하나의 긴 흐름을 만든다. 이 과정에서 발생하는 출력 오류는 제거해야 할 결함으로 처리되지 않고 이미지 사이에 예상하지 못한 연결을 만드는 요소로 사용된다. 《재조합하기》는 이렇게 해체된 시각 언어를 다시 조합하면서, 하나의 이미지가 반복과 변형을 거쳐 계속 다른 관계와 형태를 만들어내는 과정을 보여준다.

Recombination is an installation that brings together visual elements left after processes of collecting, classifying, and dismantling. Images and graphics from different sources are repeated, overlapped, and rearranged, forming new compositions in which it becomes difficult to trace them back to a single original. The work uses a dot matrix printer and continuous paper. As images are printed through a low-resolution system of dots, differences in density, smudges, misalignments, and broken patterns appear, transforming the original graphics through mechanical errors and variations. On the continuous paper, the boundaries and sequence of the images also become loose, as separate fragments spill sideways, overlap, and form one extended flow. Printing errors are not treated as defects to be removed, but as elements that create unexpected connections between images. Recombination brings these dismantled visual languages together again, showing how an image can continue to form new relationships and take on different shapes through repetition and transformation.
